MINUTES
SPECIAL MEETING - MONTICELLO CITY COUNCIL
Wednesday, November 28, 1979 - 7:00 P.M.
Members Present: Arve Grimsmo, Fran Fair, Dan Blonigen, Ken Maus, Phil White.
Members Absent: None
Purpose of the meeting was to review salary schedules effective January 1,
1980.
The following salary schedule for personnel at City Hall handling secre-
tarial duties, deputy registrar duties, clerk typist duties, and recep-
tionist duties, was presented by Gary Wieber, City Administrator.

The City Administrator indicated that this schedule was based upon review
of the duties involved for the following personnel:
Lynnea Gillham, Judy Alcott, Nancy Spivak
By establishing the various levels, an individual would be assured of
progressive increases during their tenure with the City of Monticello.
Additionally, the top rate, or the 100% rate, would be reviewed annually.
Motion was made by Ken Maus, seconded by Dan Blonigen to adopt the above
salary schedule for the positions indicated with the City Administrator
determining within each range where a particular individual's salary would
fall. voting in Favor: Arve Grimsmo, Fran Fair, Dan Blonigen, Ken Maus.
Opposed: Phil White.
A motion was made by Fran Fair, seconded by Phil White and unanimously carried
to adopt the following salary schedule:

A motion was made by Phil White, seconded by Dan Blonigen to set the City
Administrator's salary at $29,000 for 1980. Voting in favor: Phil White,
Dan Blonigen. Opposed: Arve Grimsmo, Fran Fair, Ken Maus.

A motion was made by Fran Fair, seconded by Ken Maus to set the City
Administrator's salary at $30,000 for 1980. Voting in favor: Fran
Fair, Ken Maus, Arve Grimsmo. Opposed: Phil White, Dan Blonigen.
