Thore Meyer, Engineer, Robert Davis, Planning Corrimission present.
Meeting called to order by Ron Schleif, Mayor. Minutes of previous meeting were
approved as mailed by Walter MarWling Motion and Richard 1,4arties second.
Wilfred Fish appeared before council to~request clarification of proposed sewer
rate changes. Ron Schleif and Thore Meyer explained changes.
Richard N.artie made motion, seconded by James Maus to approve January bills not,
ready for approval at earlier meeting. Checks ;2814-2820 Liquor fund $1,299.61. Checks

Contract was agreed on for renewal of $50.00 per month retainer fee for Thore -Peyer

Motion by James Maus, seconded by Richard Martie to approve final engineering bill
for Thore Meyer on Water & a
Sewer extension service West Thired Street, crried.
Motion by James Maus, seconded by Walter Markling to approve final engineering
bill for $254.21 on Well, carried.
Thore I°7eyer recommends a valuation of $1,740.00 for water service as installed on
W. Third Street between Elm and Chestnut (village limits). Motion to accept recon.m..
endation made by Walter Markling and seconded by Richard Martie, carried.
Richard Martie made motion seconded by James Maus to sign five (5) year easment to
Highway Dept. to fill swamp and leave area level and needed, carried.
r Clerk to get quotations on installing time clock on curfew siren and for rewiring
a
wning light at top of water tower.
Motion by Walter Markling, seconded by J. Maus to permit Don Gra.nlurid to go to Clerk
and Finance Officers Conference on March 11th & 12th. Carried,
Skelly Oil Co. request for renewal of building permit was approved on motion by
Richard Martie and seconded by Walter Iiarkling.
James Maus made motion seconded by Richard Martie to transfer 1970 allocation
Of $7,800.00 from Water Revenue fund to Water Sink!ng fund. This transfer is refected
in 1970 audit and cash report. Carried.
Motion by James Mla.us seconded by Richard Martie that Kopff and Schmidt be paid
$800.00 on their contract for work on Senior Citizens Center and Liquor Store. Balance
to be paid upon completion and acceptance, carried.
Thore Mayer reported on the proposals for sewer, water and street upgrading r

Viewer for highway I-94 interchange to drain. from interchange area to river6 will
cost about $1452000.00 with highway department paying about $86,000.00. This work must
be done this spring. Water and Sanitary sewer system upgrading will cost about $73,CC0.00.

aration.of working drawing for storm sewer. Carried.
Motion by Walter darkling, seconded by Richard Martie that we accept the V10 increase
proposal made by North Central Public Service. Detail of increases to become a part of
resolution before signing, carried.
Clerk to prepare resume of fide costs and proposed costs in preparation of five
contracts for Township services.
Motion by James Klaus and seconded by Richard Martie that request for bids for garbage
and rubbish service be prepared for coming year. This service to include parks and doti:Tn_
town street containers and be supported by Performance Band.
Council requested that a hearing be set up with representative of Mid-America Dairy
Association regarding sewer usage rates. .,.
