Special meeting of Village Council April 4 -- 7:30 P -M, -- at
Village Hall.
Meeting called to order by Sill Sandberg, mayor. Councilmen present:
Dan Blonigen, Dick Martie, Walt Markling, Jeff Rowan. Absent:. Hone.
Also present were Al Zahler, Wayne, Cary and George Yonak, Jay Miller
and Iry Stelton.
Minutes of March 21 meeting read and approved.
Clerk read the report from Stan pescar, attorney for League of Minn-
esota Municipalities on comoetitive bidding requirements noting that
bids are not reouired for service contracts such as refuse hauling.
Walt Markling spoke in favor of negotiating with Al's Sanitary Service.
Motion by Walter Markling that village re -negotiate a 3 year contract
with Al Zabler - A1' Sanitary Service on the basis of oast service to
determine price and service. Seconded by Jeff Rowan. In favor:
Blonigen, Martie, Rowan, Marklin7. Against: Sandberg. Carried.
Motion by Walter Markling that we enter into a contract 7,,-ith Al Zahler.
Al' Sanitary Service for 3 vears on the same basis as previously with
2 day a week nick -un at residences, mark nick -up, sidewalk containers,
etc. at $900.00 per month. Seconded. by Dick Martie. In favor: Mark..
ling, Blonigen, Martie, Rowan. Against: Sandberg. Carried.
Motion by Walter Marklinq that council approve building permit for
Sundloff to raze existing warehouse space and rebuild with concrete
block and spancrete. Seconded by Dick Martie. Carried - all in favor.
Request by Ken Larsen for building perrit referred. to Planning Commission.
Sewer rate study discussion between council and Stelton & Miller called
for no further action until present rate structure in operation for a
year.
Noted that sanitary sewer service has been available to Doug Pitt re-
sidence for three years and that by ordinance should he connected.
Clerk to advise Doug Pitt.
Discussion revealed that several building roofs are draining into
sanitary sewer. Maintenance crew to check. Also some storm sewers
are hooked into sanitary sewers. Walt to trace with dyes.
Walt Markling moved for adjournment. Seconded by Dick Martie. So
ordered.
