I'm zoned R-3 now. Can you grow restrictin~ a
business distr1~t t eight blocks? Business district
should go from Thir to River from downtown all the
way to the high sch 01.
Consider a larger a ea.
We are trying to cr ate order so business is not
mixed in r.lth homes.
I su~~est that busi ess zone be run along railroad
track all the way e at and along H1~hway 25. Consider it.
I live 1n M1nneapol s. I own business property on
Hi~hwaY 25. It's n w zoned R-3. It has been a sign
shop, repair shop. It's now a repair shop-- my
tenant does renair ork and sells used cars on the
side. This is busi ess property.
The Planning Commission has no intention of creating
a hardshio for any e. We want to nrotect the best
interest of everyone.
I assure vou.

we exoand to relat d services without going to con-
ditional use or no .conforming use? I talk about
clinics, convalesc nt home, etc.
Tooker: I understand the p oblem. C.l 1s designed to provide
for open space nub io use land. Related services of
this nature would eed to be written into 0_1 ordinance.
Planning Commissio will consider.

Thank you all for a ring your comments and observations.
We'll move to the n xt item on the agenda -- the placing
of carrier lines th ough 1_94.
Introduction relate to proper publishing of notice of
hearing. Bids for water carrier lines and one sewer
line received last ek. Low bid was $17,634.00.
Thore Meyer, engine ~ gave hackground on planning and
thinkin~ for orovid ng oroposed lines. Cost is major
factor. Placing no at $17,6,4.00. Estimate about
$200 oer ft. after lacktopping or over $200,000.
Why should there he a Question when there is such a
difference in cost 7 '

I think east end cr ssings are out of village too. It
is the policy of th village to assess 10cfJ,.. to henefi tted
orooerty owners. o's going to pay for it when there's
no benefitted orope ty served. It may be years before
it is needed. Spec latora will benefit. I don't believe
in putting it in th ground now.
The return is in a ound about way. Increase In tax base
with Property imoro ement. Assess 10CY;t to 11S<'lt'~ when
hooked up. No 8er' ce facility slows down growth.

$15,000 now to prom te annexation. If we don't spend
$17,000 now and don't ~et any annexation there is no
need for it.
