Special meeting of village Council December 26, 1972.
Meeting ca1_led to order by Actin? Mayor Dan Blonigen at 7:35 P. M.
Councilmen present: Dan Blonigen, Dick Martie, Walt Markling and Jeff
Rowan. Bill Sandberg was absent - on vacation.
Minutes for the meeting of December 12, approved as amended.
A motion was made by Jeff Rowan to amend Ordinance #321-060 (Parking
Limitations). The Ordinance was amended to include "Pine Street
from River Street to 6th Street." The motion was seconded by Dick Martie.
Voting in favor: Blonigen, Markling, Martie and Rowan. Opposed:
None. Absent: Sandberg.
A discussion was held concerning what action the village should take
in regard to the Mississippi River bridle closing. It was verbally
agreed that a letter will be sent from the village office, endorsed
by all organizations involved, to a number of state and private officials.
Mr. Le W. Senness, Superintendent of Schools, agreed to draft the
letter and it will be presented to the village office for procurement
of applicable signatures. A number of personal contacts will also
be made due to the shortage of time involved.
The motion to adjourn was made by Walt Markling, seconded by Jeff
Rowan. Carried - all in favor. Meeting adjourned at 9:15 P. M.
