City Council Ordinance Amending 407An ordinance amending section 407.020 of Ordinance
No. 407, adopted July 8, 1974 and entitled "An Ordinance
Amendment to the Taxi Drivers and Draymen Ordinance,"
The City Council of Monticello ordains:
Section No. 407.020 of Ordinance 4073 adopted July 8,
1974, and entitled "Bond" is amended to read:

any license shall be issued to engage in the business of
conveying baggage only, such carrier shall make and deliver
to the City Clerk a bond in the sum of $500.00 which bond
shall be approved by the Mayor of the City for its security
and for the security of all persons employing such carriers
of baggage. Before any license shall be issued to engage
in the business of conveying both passengers and baggage,
such carrier shall file with the City Clerk a public
liability and property damage policy, in an insurance com-
pany licensed to do business in the State of Minnesota,
which policy shall be for the security of all persons
employing the carrier or who may be injured by the negligence
of any such carrier or its employees. The policy shall not
be subject to cancellation by such company except upon ten
days written notice filed with the City Clerk and the insurance
company shall be obliged to pay all just claims whether the
insured be solvent or otherwise, within the limits herein
provided. The provisions of the policy shall be such that
the insurance company shall be liable for property damage
in the sum of $10,000.00 and as to public liability the
insurance policy shall be in the sum of at least $50, 000.00
for bodily injuries to or death of one person and at least
the sum of $100,000.00as to bodily injuries or death of
more than one person.
