City Council Minutes 08-26-1975 SpecialSPECIAL MEETING OF THE MONTICELLO CITY COUNCIL
August 26, 1975 -- 7:30 P.M.
Present: Johnson, Erickson, Walters, Hall, Martie.
Absent: None.
1. Hearing -- 1974.-1 Parking Improvement.
Dan Blonigen inquired as to why cost of former Kj ellberg
building was not put on assessment rolls. Mayor Johnson ex-
plained that this would be put on assessment roll with next
downtown improvement project.
Motion by Walters, seconded by Martie to go along with
recommendations of Business and Industrial Development
Commission regarding adjustments to assessment rolls;
voting in favor of motion were Walters, Martie, Hall,
Johnson. Abstain: Erickson.
Motion by Johnson, seconded by Erickson, and unanimously
carried to adopt resolution adopting assessment roll on a
15 year basis with interest at 7 per cent. (See supple-
ment 8-26-75 #1.)
2. Hearing -- Community Development Block Grant Applica-
tion.
There being no comments from any citizens, a motion was
made by Erickson, seconded by Johnson and unanimously carried
to adopt resolution applying for a grant for a new senior
citizens center for submission to the U.S. Department of Housing
and Urban Development. (See supplement 8-26-75 #2.)
