MINUTES
REGULAR MEETING - MONTICELLO PLANNING COMMISSION
Tuesday, December 8, 1981 - 7:30 P.M.
Members Present:
Jim Ridgeway, Ed Schaffer, Loren Klein, Dick Martie,
John Bondhus.
Members Absent:
Bill Burke.
1. Approval of the Minutes of the Special Meeting Held on Novem-
ber 17, 1981.
A motion by Schaffer and seconded by Martie and all voted in favor
of approving those minutes.
2.
Public Hearing - Set Back Variance - Shawn McGoff.
Shawn McGoff, owner of Lot 3 - Block 6, in the Meadows Division,
made an application for a variance to be able to build a five foot
by 8 foot (5 X 8) foyer/entrance on to the front of his home. His
property was zoned R-l. The request is for a 25' setback rather
than a 30', as is required.
As you may recall, Mr. McGoff was not present at the public hearing
to present his request, and therefore the Planning Commission chose
to delay this item until the January 12, 1982 meeting at which Mr.
McGoff could possibly be present to explain his request.
As you may also recall, Mr. Mel Wolters, owner of several of the lots
in the Meadows Addition was present and expressed his opposition to
this request. A motion was made by Martie, seconded by Schaffer to
table this item until January 12, 1982.
3. Continued Discussion of Unfinished Business.
At this meeting, discussion of possible changes to several of the
ordinances was discussed and recommendations made to the staff to
prepare a proposed ordinance change to replace several of the
ordinances now on record. These ordinance changes will be presented
at the January 12, 1982 regular meeting of the Planning Commission
at w ich time a public hearing on the same will be held.
