RESOLUTION NO. 2020-39
RESOLUTION OF UNDERSTANDING FOR CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI RIVER
REGIONAL PLANNING PARTNERSHIP ENGAGEMENT IN FRAMEWORK 2030
WHEREAS, the Central Mississippi River Regional Planning Partnership ("Partnership") has
embarked on Framework 2030 — Partnering for the Future, a regional planning and economic
development project; and
WHEREAS, to ensure the Partnership and members' home elected bodies are fully apprised of
and contributing to the Framework 2030 project, the Partnership has committed to providing
content, process, formal check -ins, and support throughout the process; and
WHEREAS, on February 27, 2020 Central Mississippi River Regional Partnership held a regular
meeting where Framework 2030 Planning NEXT provided an update to the Partnership on the
status of Framework 2030; and
WHEREAS, the presentations of February 27, 2020 CMRP meeting provided the Partnership
bodies with an outline of engagement strategy and Framework 2030 project progress; and
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello City Council have been provided with the resources to
review the February 27, 2020 CMRP meeting and other CMRP resource information via the
CMRP website, regionalplanningpartenrship.org; and
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello City Council has reviewed the presentations of the February
27, 2020 CMRP Meeting; and
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello City Council has participated in the first round of
engagement for Framework 2030; and
WHEREAS, Partners are invited to facilitate their elected bodies to take action on a nonbinding
Resolution of Understanding from their elected bodies;
NO W, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED B Y THE CITY CO UNCIL OF MONTICELL 0,
MINNESOTA, that the City of Monticello concurs that the City of Monticello understands the
work being done on Framework 2030 as of February 27th, 2020 and has contributed to the
project in a meaningful way.
ADOPTED BY the Monticello City Council this 13th day of April, 2020.
