AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE XIII: GENERAL OFFENSES; SECTION 130.09 —
NOISE BY ADDING SECTION TITLE ENGINE BRAKING
The City Council of the City of Monticello does ordain:
Section 130.09. Title XIII. Chapter 130: Unlawful Conduct: Section 130.09, Noise, shall be
amended by adding following section as follows:
It shall be unlawful within the City for the driver of any vehicle to use or operate or cause
to be used or operated any engine brake, compression brake or mechanical exhaust device
designed to aid in the braking or deceleration of any vehicle which results in the excessive, loud,
unusual, or explosive noise from such vehicle.
