January 17, 2017
Board members present: Heath Bird -Chair, Bonnie Stromberg-Vice Chair, Brian Stumpf, and Karen Vetsch

1. Meeting called to order by Vice Chair at 4:31 pm.
2. Consideration of addine items to the aeenda. No items
3. Consideration of approving the minutes of the October 18, 2016 regular meeting. MOTION by Karen
Vetsch to approve the minutes as submitted. SECONDED by Bonnie Stromberg. MOTION PASSES
unanimously.
4. Reappointment of Sandra Theros — 3 year term for the Bertram Chain of Lakes Advisory Council.
MOTION to approve by Brian Stumpf and SECONDED by Bonnie Stromberg. MOTION PASSES
unanimously.
5. Update Items:
a. Financial Summary YTD Reviewed by the Board with no specific discussion.
b. Manager's Update Pickle Ball users were concerned with the daily rate increase.
Issues have been resolved through communication efforts to explain pricing and membership
options to Pickle Ball users. Ann Mosack and Rachel Leonard, Communications Coordinator will
be looking into new website and e -subscribe options.
c. Appointment of a new board member Tracy Ergen, HR Manager, has posted the position and it
will close at the end of the month. We discussed combining the MCC Advisory Board with the
Parks Commission.
6. Old Business: Part-time employee wage increases were approved for Lifeguards, Climbing Wall
Attendants, and the new Facility Lead position which has replaced the Lead Guest Services position.
7. Age requirement for children to use the facility independently. The board discussed and decided a
good age of go with would be eleven (11) years of age to use the facility independently, with the
exception of the upstairs fitness area. Ann Mosack will bring age requirement information from other
near -by facilities to the next meeting in February.
8. Improvement Projects. Ann Mosack updated the board on the upstairs fitness area projects.
