Subject: SWTV Channel 19 Update
Sherburne Wright Cable Commission Members:
We wanted to let you know that SWTV Channel 19, the Sherburne Wright Cable Commission's new area
wide channel started cablecasting on January 1st, 2012 at 12:01 A.M. The compliments have started
coming in as people have become aware of the channel.
This is a "soft opening" of the channel. We plan on having a "Grand Opening" for the channel later this
spring that will coincide with a Volunteer Appreciation Night, press releases, interviews with the media
and also the "Grand Opening" of our new SWTV.ty web site. If you receive questions or
comments from anyone they can email us at info .swtv.ty.
Currently, SWTV Channel 19 is playing 24 hours a day and also streaming at www.swtv.tv. We are
playing lots of sports right now, but we are also working on adding the following programs:
1) A new community spotlight magazine type TV program that will highlight people and events in our
area.
2) Continuing entertainment coverage of concerts, talent shows, theater and other musical and creative
events.
3) Programming for Seniors - We have had several requests to run special programs for seniors on
Sundays around 2P.M.
We will provide a more expansive update at the next cable commission meeting. Please try and watch
Channel 19 and give us feedback. This is an exciting step for the commission and one that we have
worked very hard to make happen. Thanks for all your help and support! We also want to thank
Commission Attorney Bob Vose and Charter Cable,Tom Bordwell, Sue LaBelle and Glen Steinbeck for
the great job they did with helping us get our signal on the air.
Thanks,
Bill Bruce and Mark Davis
