RESOLUTION NO. 2021-04
RESOLUTION DECLARING A CITY COUNCIL VACANCY
WHEREAS, Lloyd Hilgart was elected to the office of City Council for the City of
Monticello on November 6, 2018; and
WHEREAS, said office has a four-year term that began January 14, 2019 and runs through
December 31, 2022;
WHEREAS, Lloyd Hilgart was elected to Mayor on November 3, 2020 with an effective date
of January 11, 2021, thereby vacating his City Council seat.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Monticello, Minnesota
that effective January 11, 2021, the City Council declares a vacancy to exist in the office of the City
Council.
Adopted by the Monticello City Council this 11 to day of January, 2021.
