Planning Commission Minutes 03-20-1974 March 20, 1974 . Regular meeting of the Planning Commission - March 20, 1974 City Hall -- 7:30 P. M. Members present: Maus, Miller, Muehlbauer, Stumpf, White, Worth. Absent: Topel. A motion to approve the minutes for the meeting of Feb. 25, 1974, was made by L. Muehlbauer, seconded by J. W. Miller. Carried -- all in favor. A discussion was held concerning the request of Ernie Hartwig for a building permit. In this regard, a motion was made by J. W. Miller, seconded by L. Muehlbauer, to recommend approval to the city council for issuance of a building permit to Mr. Ernie Hartwig. Mr. Hartwig to build a 4 or 5 unit dwelling on Locust Street between Sixth & Seventh Street. This permit to be issued subject to review of plans by the city Building Inspector. Voting in favor: Maus, Miller, Muehlbauer, Stumpf, White, Worth. Absent: Topel. Opposed: None. Motion carried. . The Planning Commission reviewed a request for a building permit made by Mr. Bud Fair. It was noted that a zoning change will be needed before a permit can be ~ssued. In this regard, a motion was made by J. Maus, seconded by L. Muehlbauer, to recommend to the City Council that Cedar Street to Palm Street on both sides of Hwy. 152 (Co. Rd. 70) and the east side of Cedar Street from Hwy 152 (Co. Rd. 70) to the northerly property line of the Cedar Street Meat Market be rezoned from the present R-3 classification to B-2. . The Planning Commission recommends issuance of a building permit upon completion of the zoning hearing. Voting in favor: Maus, Miller, Muehlbauer, Stumpf, White, Worth. Absent: Topel. Opposed: None. Motion carried. Planning Commission members requested the administrator to notify Mr. Paul Johnston, Wright County Zoning Ad- ministrator, that the city of Monticello Planning Commission has no objections regarding the issuance of a Conditional Use Permit to J. W. Miller for a residential subdivision on the property described in Enclosure 1. Also, no ob- jection is made to the proposed VFW building proposal. . A motion to adjourn was made by L.
