SPECIAL MEETING MONTICELLO CITY COUNCIL
Monday, April 12, 2021— 4:30 p.m.
Mississippi Room, Monticello Community Center
Present: Lloyd Hilgart, Charlotte Gabler, Brian Hudgins, Sam Murdoff
Absent: Jim Davidson
Others: Rachel Leonard, Sarah Rathlisberger, Angela Schumann, Ron Hackenmueller and
Jennifer Schreiber
1. Call to Order
Mayor Hilgart called special meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.
2. 4:30 p.m. Discussion regarding Soccer Club Lease
This special meeting was to follow-up from the meeting held in March with the Soccer
Club. Items of discussion were amending the current lease and proper storage of items.
The Soccer Club questioned whether the City planned to terminate the lease in 2024
and or would they be open to an extension.
There was discussion that the Soccer Club will need to properly store gasoline that is
being kept on the premises.
The Council discussed briefly extending the current lease. There was consensus to draft
lease agreement extending the current lease by two years for a total of five years with
lease expiring May 2026. Following 2026 the lease could be re-evaluated and possibly
allowed on a year to year basis.
3. Adjournment
By consensus, the meeting was adjourned at 4:45 p.m.
