PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
September 2, 1975 -- 7:30 P. M.
Members present: Larry Muehlbauer, Howard Gillham,
Jay Miller.
Members absent: Ron White, Gordon Steinert, Fred
Topel, W. Anderson.
1. Public Hearing - Conditional Use Permit and Variances
1st Baptist Church of Monticello.
The First Baptist Church of Monticello requested
the following:
Issuance of conditional use permit to allow
1st Baptist Church of Monticello to build
church in R-1 district. In addition, the
1st Baptist Church of Monticello has re-
quested the following variances:

Variance from setback requirements so as
to apply to residence rather than a church.
Church will eventually become parsonage when
congregation becomes larger.
Variance from bituminous surfacing of
parking lot. Parking lot may end up a part
of future yard for parsonage and problems
would arise in growing lawn.
The Planning Commission recommended the conditional
use permit be granted along with the two variances
subject to the receipt of current certificate of survey.
The parcel of land owned by the church is immediately
west of the Pinewood school property.
2. Presentation on development of land by Roy Lauring
south of railroad tracks and east of Highway #25.
Mr. Lauring presented proposed plan for his land,
approximately 16 - 19 acres. No official action
taken by Planning Commission._
