RESOLUTION RECEIVING REPORT AND
CALLING HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT NO. 98-08C
CHELSEA ROAD EAST EXTENSION BETWEEN CEDAR STREET
AND COUNTY ROAD 117
WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the Council adopted April 13, 1998, a report has been
prepared by the City Engineer, WSB & Associates, Inc., with reference to the improvement of
Chelsea Road East between Cedar Street and County Road 117 by the construction of a four
lane roadway with left turn channelization, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, watermain and all
necessary appurtenances, and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is
necessary, cost effective and feasible,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELLO,
MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the improvement of such street in accordance with the report
and the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement
pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the
improvement of $518,600.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 26" day of April,
1999 in the council chambers of the City Hall at 7 p.m. and the City Administrator shall
give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law.
Adopted by the Monticello City Council this 12" day of April, 1999.
