Planning Commission Minutes 06-20-1978 .,. . MONTICELLO PLANNING COMMISSION Tuesdqy, June 20, 197$ - 7:45 P.M. Members present: F. Fair, F. Topel, D. Erickson, L. Klein (ex-officio). Members absent: J. Ridgewqy, D. Bauer. 1. Public Hearing - Conditional Use Permit - Robert Mosford. Mr. Bob Mosford applied for a Conditional Use Permit to construct a Professional Office Building on the S.E. corner of Cedar and 3rd streets. The area is zoned R-B, thereby requiring a Conditional Use Permit. The Building Inspector did inform the Commission that final plans have not been completed as of yet, and a variance regarding the number of parking spaces required mqy be necessary. A property owner in the area did inquire as to what type of businesses would be located in the building. Motion was made by F. Fair, seconded by F. Topel and unanimously carried to recommend approval of the Conditional Use Permit for a Professional Office Building on Lots 9 & 10, Block F. . 2. Public Hearing - Conditional Use Permit - Samuel Peraro. Mr. Sam Peraro requested a Conditional Use Permit to construct a motor fuel station at the N.E. corner of County Road 117 and Highwqy 25. All plans and specifications have been reviewed and approved by the Building Inspector subject to approval of the plumbing by the State Health Department. Hearing no objections, motion was made by F. Topel, seconded by F. Fair and unanimously carried to recommend approval of a Conditional Use Permit for a motor fuel station for Sam Peraro. 3. Adoption: Uniform Code for Abatement of Dangerous Buildings. The Building Inspector requested that the Planning Commission consider recommending adoption of the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings to supplement the recently adopted Uniform Housing Code. Basis for the request is that in some cases, when a deteriorated building other than a residential home is inspected and found unsafe, there is no procedure spelled out stating how the abatement of the building should be carried out. . . . . .... 6/20/78 Minutes The adoption of this code would provide a more clear definition of dangerous buildings and clearly spell out the handling of the situation. Motion was made by F. Fair, seconded by F. Topel and unanimously carried to recommend adoption of the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings. 4. Approval of Minutes.
