City Council Resolution 2005-87RESOLUTION NO. 2004-87 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS SCHOOL BOULEVARD EXTENSION (DEEGAN AVE TO 90TH ST NE) NO. 200-5-2C WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the extension of School Boulevard from Deegan Avenue to 901h Street NE and the connection of Redford Lane in the plat of Groveland 4" Addition by the construction of bituminous streets, concrete curb and gutter, utilities and all other necessary appurtenant work, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: CONTRACTOR TOTAL BID AND ALT. #1 AND ALT. #2 Randy Kramer Excavating, Inc. $1,919,045.89 Richard Knutson, Inc. $1,974,189.22 Redstone Construction $2,026,739.23 Barbarossa and Sons, Inc. $250625053.52 Latour Construction $2,066,108.93 R.L. Contracting, Inc. $25436,645.56 F;TT;is Construction, Inc. $2,498,311.82 WHEREAS, it appears that Randy Kramer Excavating, Inc. of Watkins, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREB Y RESOL VED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA: The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Randy Kramer Excavating, Inc. of Watkins, Minnesota for the extension of School Boulevard from Deegan Avenue to 901h Street NE and the connection of Redford Lane in the plat of Groveland 4" Addition by the construction of bituminous streets, concrete curb and gutter, utilities and all other necessary appurtenant work, according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file at the city offices. Said contract is contingent upon development and assessment agreements being obtained from the Weinand/Ocello and Insignia developments. Should the City fail to obtain agreements with Insignia the project would extend only through the Weinand/Ocello property. 2. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
