City Council Resolution 2003-75ARESOLUTION NO. 2003-7514 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS TIMBER RIDGE STORM SEWER PROJECT NO. 2002-03C WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the improvement to the storm sewer system by construction of 460 feet of trunk storm sewer from the existing pond in the Timber Ridge development to the Burlington Northern right-of-way and all other necessary appurtenant work, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: CONTRACTOR TOTAL BID G.L. Contracting, Inc. $69,030.29 R.L. Larson Excavating, Inc. $78,182.21 W.B. Miller, Inc. $78,298.86 Barbarossa and Sons, Inc. $82,978.35 Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc. $84,912.00 Lametti and Sons, Inc. $94,861.60 Northdale Construction Co., Inc. $107,775.69 WHEREAS, it appears that G. L. Contracting, Inc. of Medina, Minnesota is the lowest responsible bidder, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOL VED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELL0, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with G.L. Contracting, Inc. of Medina, Minnesota for the improvement to the storm sewer system by construction of 460 feet of trunk storm sewer from the existing pond in the Timber Ridge development to the Burlington Northern right-of-way and all other necessary appurtenant work according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file at the city offices. 2. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
