City Council Ordinance 53ORDINANCE AMENDMENT The City Council of Monticello hereby ordains that Section L#--1-2 relative to Minnesota State Building Code amendments be amended as follows: Delete Section 302(A); Subsection (A)(1) and add the following: All permit applications for other than single family residential structures shall require City Council approval only if the application does not meet all building code regulations or zoning ordinance requirements. John son Mayor ATTEST: 4GWiebel- City Administrator -5-3 ''- . .� %L:�� 4-1-1 4-1-2 CHAPTER BUILDING CODE SECTION: 4-I-1: ADOPTION OF CODE 4-1-2: AMENDMENTS 4-1-: COMPLETION TIME 4-I- : FEES 4-1-1: ADOPTION OF CODE: THE MINNESOTA STATE BUILD,„3 CODE AND ITS APPENDICES, THREE (3) COPIES OF WHICH ARE ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK, IS HEREBY ADOPTED AS THE BUILDING CODE OF THE CITY FOR THE PURPOSE OF REGULATING THE ERECTION, CONSTRUCTION, ENLARGE- MENT, ALTERATION, REPAIRING, MOVING, REMOVAL, CONVERSION, DEMOLITION, OCCUPANCY, EQUIPMENT, USE, HEIGHT, AREA, AND MAINTENANCE OF BUILDINGS OR STRUCTURES IN THE CITY; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS AND COLLECTION OF FEES THEREFOR; DECLARING AND ESTABLISHING FIRE DISTRICTS; AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF. 4-1-2: AMENDMENTS: THE BUILDING CODE AS ADOPTED BY REFERENCE HEREIN SHALL BE AMENDED BY SUBSTITUTING THE FOLLOWING SECTIONS IN PLACE OF THE SECTIONS SIMILARLY NUMBERED IN THE CODE: SECTION 103 SHALL BE AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS: THE PROVISIONS OF THIS CODE SHALL APPLY TO THE CONSTRUCTION, ALTERATION, MOVING, DEMOLITION, REPAIR, AND USE OF ANY BUILDING OR STRUCTURE WITHIN THE CITY. ADDITIONS, ALTERATIONS, REPAIRS, A14D CHANGES OF USE OR OCCUPANCY IN ALL BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES SHALL COMPLY WITH THE PROVISIONS FOR NEW BUILD- INGS AND STRUCTURES EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED IN SECTIONS 104, 306, AND 502 OF THE CODE. WHERE, IN ANY SPECIFIC CASE, DIFFERENT SECTIONS OF THIS CODE SPECIFY DIFFERENT MATERIALS, METHODS OF CONSTRUCTION OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS, THE MOST RESTRICTIVE SHALL GOVERN, WHEREVER IN THIS CODE REFERENCE IS MADE TO THE APPENDIX, THE PROVISIONS IN THE APPENDIX SHALL NOT APPLY UNLESS SPECIFICALLY ADOPTED. BUILDING PAPER MAY BE REQUIRED WHEN PREFABRICATED WALL PANELS ARE UTILIZED, SECTION 2518 (F),5 -C. PLYWOOD. WHERE_PLYWOOD.IS USED FOR COVERING THE EXTERIOR OF SIDE WALLS, IT SHALL BE OF THE EXTERIOR TYPE WEATHER -BOARDING NOT LESS THAN ONE-HALF INCH (1/2") THICK. SECTION 2518 (E) 2. PLYWOOD SUBFLOORING.
