RESOLUTION NO. 2022-02
ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR 2022 SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AND SETTING A
PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE 2022 STREET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
WHEREAS, a Feasibility Report has been prepared for the 2022 Sidewalk Improvement
Project which includes the improvement and/or construction of certain sidewalk segments:
WHEREAS, the report was received by the City Council on January 10, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the initial Staff recommendation and Council authorization included sidewalk
sections along the following roadways:
• Walnut Street
• 4th Street West
• Chelsea Road
• Washington Street
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNICL OF MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the proposed improvements of sidewalks in accordance with the
Feasibility Report and the assessment of abutting properties for all or a portion of the cost of
the improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of
the improvements of $121,215 with $29,247 proposed to be assessed.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvements on the 14th day of February,
2022 in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 6:30 p.m. and the Clerk shall give mailed and
published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law.
