City Council Minutes 06-22-1970 Tax1s� June 16, 7:00 P. M. F Special Meeting Village Council A special meeting of the Village Council was called to order at 7:00 P. M. on June 16 for the purpose, of interviewing applicants for off -sale liquor store clerk. Councilmen present: Schleif, Martie, Sandberg, Swanberg. Absent: Maus. Mr. Richard Hesley also sat in. Seven women were interviewed: Mesdames Judith Seidenkranz, Ruby Hass, Bessie Markling, Joan Hesley, Olga Benson, Juel Ann Johnson and Joan Tacker. *s. Joan Hesley was hired. Don `,Granlund. `lerk DCG/lcg Tax Equalization Hearing June 22, 1970 -- 8 P. M, Bernard Mattson and Lando Kirscht represented the assessor's office. Ron Schleif, James Maus, Richard Martie and William Sandberg represented the Council. Franz Swanberg, absent. Mr. Mattson explained the 2 year homestead provision providing for 2 home- stead tax relief upon occupancy b?r June 1. Also, the tax relief on blindness. Ernest Linde appeared at the hearing with tax question on property: His property, former Alice Mitche-ll property, was non -homestead so taxes did not reflect tax relief. B. Mattson and L.
