Special meeting of Village Council
October 29, 1970 -- 5:00 P.M.
Present: Ron Schl_ief, James Maus, Franz Swanberg, Richard Martie,
William Sandberg.
Motion to approve budget by James Maus. Seconded by Richard Martie.
In favor: Schleif, Swanberg, Maus, Martie. Voting no: Bill Sandberg.
Carried.
Sandberg's objection based on questionable legality of expending funds
for Park and Civil Defense in excess of tax levy.
James Maus made motion for resolution to transfer $20,000.00 from Liquor
Store funds to General Improvement fund to reduce tax levy. on bond in-
debtedness. Richard Martie seconded. All voted in favor.
Attorney Pringle directed to research legality of assessment for funds
for Park and Civil Defense. To report to November 10 meeting.
Ron Schleif directed to confer with Dick Brooks re hours and wage and
report to November 10 meeting.
Walt Mack directed to fill posts holes and depressions around posts in
parking lot.
Adjourned on motion by Dick Martie at 6:05 P. M.
