Absent- Baker, & J. A. gasper was sworn Ln as vilt Lage clerk, and V611 S�mrson as village tinastee by Mayor 4jakangas. Minutes of the previous meetings of Dec. 3 & Dec. 11 were approved as read. Motion by Swanson to pay bills as read. Seconded by Adams and carried. A se-perate list st o IL bills paid is on file In the office of the, village clerk. The clerk was instructed to check with the league of municipilities regarding the leagality of advertizing for bids for cost of auditing village books. Motion by Adams to In -ire Marlin Olson as village dog catcher. Seconded by Swanson and carried. Ration by Kasper to al -law C. Washburn an extension until June lst. to pay water hookup for $165,00. Seconded by Swanson and carried. Motion by Adams to appoint H. Busch as village constable to fill this office vacated by J. Powers. Seconded by Kasper q -t carried. Motion 'by Kasper to renew the $10.,000.00 and $5,000-00 c6rtifirate s of deposit held for the General 31XVrovement fund., for another six montuhs. Seconded by Swanson and carried. Motion by Kasper that we adopt a resolution inforciag the railroad crossing on Reansey street as a stop crossing. Seconded by SkTanson and carried. The clerk was instTructed to send a statement for tbxee and ori half hours police work to the county sherf2soffice for the police protection provided by the village on hi,c-hway 152 durning the fire at the North Star station. Ellis8n as health officer for the village of Monticello for 1963. Seconded by Swanson and carried, Motion by Swanson to have Bernard W. May Co. audit the village books for 1962.
