Regular meeting 6f the village council held this date in the village hall at 8:00 P.Y.
Members present- Ojakangas., Baker, Adams, Kasper & Swanson. Absent- None.
141inutes of the meetings of July lst and 3rd approved as read.
Ed Yonak requested information on hooking to the village seTT,--,-Le system. Tabeled for
investigation.
Gearold Beech of t1le 11:1nnesota Department of Agriculture presented an explination of
Dutch Elm disease and its controi,and presented a model ordinance for council action.
Adaption of an ordinance controling Dutch Elm disease tabeled until meeting with the
village Attorney,, schedueled for August 12, 1963.
Ylotion by Baker to pay Russell Pitt $600. 00 assessors salary for 1963. Seconded byLOP
Kasper &- carried, , I
Ylotion by Kaspe7-,- 'to hire A. A. Anderson as full time Liqure store employee at a salary
of X350.00 per month, Seconded by Baker and carried.
Eotion by Kasper to pay Jaw W. Craig Co. the �'$'500.00 balance on the street surfacing
contract. Seconded by Swanson and carried.
I -lotion by Kasper to approve the following building permits: Bertha Cihler to builo
a 10 X10 ft. addition to kitchen on her home located on lots 1 & 7 block 0.;
Eugene Rraneman to construct a 24x 24 ft. garc�.ge on lot 1 block 8 of lower Yonticello.;
Floyd Johnson to construct a 16 x 22 ft garage on lot 13 block 41 to repl&ce an exist-
inr-, ga-z"acre.; Gerald Barthel to construct a basement under his house located on lot 8
block. 11otion seconded by Adams and carried.
A reauest was recieved b Gordie Link to install a street light at the corner of
Fift-',i street and Vind. The clerk eras instructed to check with Northern States Power
Co. regarding, this.
11-iotion by Adams to pay bills as read. Seconded by Snanson and carried.
R. Michaelis requested that anothe-11 part time employee be hired to help T-.T1`t1h vil1,-;,.,7e
iwdntenance. The clerk -,,Tas instructed to put an add in the paper, for this position.
R. lUchaelis requested a raise in pay to compensate for overtime T-,,-orked. Tabeled until
next meeting-,

A, request by the hospital board for vacation of iam street -uas tabeled until a legal
pitition and resolution was recieved Brom the h6spitol board.
