At the request of'
the Village Council, the following Village Planning
Commission members here in attendance at this meeting: Father Gearty, Vice
Chairman; Mr. Loren Senness; Mr. Dale Lungwitz; Mr. Bob Davis. 14-r., Harry
Gahr was also present at Council request. Representing_the Fullerton Lumber
Company were r: T orley, Vice President; Mir. Rex Getinger, Field 14-anager; r
Mr. Doug Garwood, Monticello Yard Manager.
The meeting was called regarding the issuance of a building permit to
Fullerton Lumber Company to remodel their lumber yard. Council members and
the Village Planning Commission members asked the .Fullerton representatives
if they would'consider relocating their present Monticello lumber yard to a
site Urhere they could better serve the community. They stated to the Fullerton
people that the present site dosen't answer the needs of a present-day lumber
yard. Further, they stated that th- Village needs the land whf*re the present
lumber yard is located for Village parking area. 1"ir. 1.1orley, representing the
Fullerton. Lumber Company, stated that is was their intention to r, rnod.el the
present lumber yard so that it could adecua.tely serve the Community. He also
stated that relocating it at another site within the 'Monticello area would be
too costly at the present time. Council pointed out that Fullerton Lumber Yard
had been storing lumber on the Village parking lot area. The lumber ,yard spokesman
stated that they had Council approval to stack llamber in this area. Council
stated that this practice would be discontinued. a
Motion by Councilman i°taus to approve of the' Fullerton Lumber Company regia st
for a building permit to remodel only the office of their lumber yard. Motion
seconded by Councilman Schaffer and carried. Voting yes: Mayor Sandberg;
Councilmen Schaffer, Swanberg, Y ller,,and Yaus. Voting no: None.

Council mei;lbers reviewed the Clerk -Treasurer's Village Financial
Statement for year 1968. V'otion by Councilzna.n Schaffer to approve of publishing
the Clerk -Treasurer's Villae Financial Statement for year 1968 in the Monticello
Times. .Motion seconded by Councilman Miller and carried. Votin; yes: Mayor
Sandberg; Councilman Schaffer, ' Biller, and Mlaus. Voting no: None.
