City Council Minutes 08-19-1974 SpecialSpecial meeting of City Council - August 19, 1974 - 7:30 P. M.
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P. M. in the City Hall
by Mayor Conrad Johnson. Council members present: Blonigen,
Erickson, Walters. Absent: Martie.
The entire meeting was taped.
The Mayor announced that the purpose of the meeting was to hold
a HEARING in regard to the vacation of city streets (Plat Plan
#4 area). A listing of streets to be,vacated is attached to the
city council minutes of July 22, 1974, as Enclosure 1.
Mr. Bob Rohlin stated that the City should keep blanket easement
rights for the vacated streets. The Administrator was instructed
to have Mr. Gary Pringle have the street vacation resolution
available for the next council meeting. A motion was made by
D. Erickson, seconded by G. Walters, to table the Street Va-
cation Resolution until the next city council meeting. Voting
in favor: Blonigen, Erickson, Johnson, Walters. Opposed: None.
Absent: Martie. Motion carried.
One property owner, Mr. Wilbur Eck, was in attendance. He
asked for a description of the streets to be vacated and re-
ceived one. No complaints were made by any individual at this
HEARING.
Mr. Greg Smith noted there would be a booth set up for Montissippi
Days where beer would be sold. No city council action was
taken in regard to this request.
The Mayor asked Mr. Bob Rohlin to have Mr. Thore Meyer or an
assistant work with representatives of the Christian Community
Building to set up water service. There will be a meeting in
regard to this matter at 8:00 P. M. on Tuesday, August 20, 1974 •
A motion to adjourn was made by D. Blonigen, seconded by G.
Walters. Voting in favor: Blonigen, Erickson, Johnson, Walters.
Opposed: None. Absent: Martie.
The meeting was adjourned at approximately 7:50 P. M.
