A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO
RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A PROPOSED TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the proposal by the City of Monticello, Minnesota (the "City") and the Monticello
Economic Development Authority (the "EDA") to establish Tax Increment Financing (Economic
Development) District No. 1-44 (the "TIF District") and adopt the Tax Increment Financing Plan
relating thereto (the "TIF Plan"), all pursuant to and in conformity with applicable law, including
Minnesota Statutes, 469.124 to 469.133 and Sections 469.174 to 469.1794, as amended (the
"TIF Act"), has been submitted to the City of Monticello Planning Commission (the
"Commission"); and
WHEREAS, the Commission has reviewed the TIF Plan to determine the consistency of the TIF
Plan with the comprehensive plan for the City; and
WHEREAS, the Commission's review of the TIF Plan relates solely to compliance with the TIF
Act. The Planning Commission shall undertake a detailed review of the proposed project
described in the TIF Plan as part of the City's normal planning process on a later date.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Commission that the TIF Plan conforms to the
general plans for the development and redevelopment of the City as a whole.
ADOPTED this 5th day of April, 2022, by the Planning Commission of the City of
Monticello, Minnesota.
