WORKSHOP MEETING - ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (EDA)
Wednesday, May 11, 2022 — 5:00 p.m.

Commissioners Absent: Mayor Lloyd Hilgart
Staff Present: Executive Director Jim Thares, Angela Schumann, Sarah
Rathlisberger and Hayden Stensgard
1. Call to Order
President Steve Johnson called the workshop meeting of the Monticello Economic
Development Authority (EDA) to order at 5:00 p.m.
2. Roll Call
Mr. Johnson called the roll.
3. Continued Discussion of Draft Pooled TIF Allocation and Spending Plan
Executive Director Jim Thares provided and overview of the agenda item. The pooled
Tax Increment Financing (TIF) allocation and spending plan is related to captured TIF
dollars from prior TIF Districts within Monticello.
Hali Sittig arrived at 5:14 p.m.
Mr. Thares went through the draft allocation and spending plan and summarized the
potential uses of the pooled funding. He noted that if the EDA recommended to move
forward with the draft plan, staff will bring the final plan to the EDA for formal adoption.
Following review and discussion, there was EDA consensus asking staff bring a final plan
back at an upcoming meeting for formal adoption. No action was taken on the item.
4. Adjournment
OLLIE KOROPCHAK-WHITE MOVED TO ADJOURN THE WORKSHOP MEETING OF THE
EDA. JIM DAVIDSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY, 6-0,
MEETING ADJOURNED AT 5:50 P.M.
