MONTICELLO CITY COUNCIL BUDGET WORKSHOP
Monday, July 25, 2022 — 4:30 p.m.

Present: Jim Davidson, Bill Fair, Charlotte Gabler, Lloyd Hilgart, Sam Murdoff
Absent: None

Hackenmueller, Jim Thares, Mike Haaland, and Jennifer Schreiber
1. Call to Order
Mayor Lloyd Hilgart called the special meeting to order at 4:30 p.m.
2. 2023 Budget Review
Sarah Rathlisberger, Finance Director, reviewed the second budget meeting for the 2023
budget. She gave a timeline for budget meetings with the next meetings being held
August 22, and September 12. The preliminary levy will be adopting September 26. This
second meeting reviewed equipment and projects.
The equipment review included the following: $450,000 for vehicles and $1,476,000 for
equipment. The project list totaled $14,878,000.
There was discussion among City Council and staff. The final decision on what to
proceed with in 2023 will be decided over the next couple of months.

By consensus, the meeting was adjourned at 6:15 p.m.
