RESOLUTION NO. PC-2023-03
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MONTICELLO
RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE INCORPORATION OF TITLE XV, CHAPTER 153 OF THE
CITY OF MONTICELLO'S ZONING CODE INTO THE MONTICELLO CITY CODE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Monticello wishes to codify or incorporate the City's
Zoning Code into the City Code which necessitate renumbering, reorganizing and reformatting
the Zoning ordinances to fit into the format of the City Code;
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the renumbered, reorganized and
reformatted Zoning Code; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on January 3rd, 2023, on the
renumbered, reorganized and reformatted Zoning Code and members of the public were
provided the opportunity to present information to the Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has considered all of the comments and the staff report
and the renumbered, reorganized and reformatted Zoning Code, which are incorporated by
reference into the resolution the following Findings of Fact in relation to the recommendation
of approval:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Planning Commission of the City of Monticello,
Minnesota, that Ordinance No. 7XX is hereby recommended for adoption:
Title XV, Land Use, Chapter 153, Zoning, is adopted and is hereby codified, with
the exception of Ordinance 776, an ordinance relating to The Pointes, which
remains as adopted and is not included in the recodification.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Monticello hereby approves
Summary Ordinance No. XXX-A and incorporates same herein by reference.
ADOPTED this 3rd day of January, 2023, by the Planning Commission of the City of
Monticello, Minnesota.
