SPECIAL MEETING - MONTICELLO CITY COUNCIL
Thursday May 22, 2008 - 5 p.m.
Members Present: Clint Herbst, Wayne Mayer, Tom Perrault, Brian Stumpf and Susie
Woj chouski.
Members Absent: None
1. Call to Order.
Mayor Herbst called the meeting to order at 5 p.m.
WAYNE MAYER MOVED TO ENTER INTO A CLOSED SESSION TO
DISCUSS PENDING LITIGATION. CLINT HERBST SECONDED THE
MOTION. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY
2. Discussion on aendinE litigation
Joel Jamnik, City Attorney led the discussion
WAYNE MAYER MOVED TO RECOMMEND APPOINTING JOHN BAKER,
GREENE ESPEL LAW FIRM FOR LEAD DEFENSE COUNSEL. CLINT
HERBST SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED
UNANIMOUSLY.
WAYNE MAYER MOVED TO DIRECT THE ATTORNEYS TO DEFEND
THE LAWSUIT VIGOROUSLY. CLINT HERBST SECONDED THE
MOTION. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
Clint Herbst asked for closed session regarding litigation immediately following
the next regular Council meeting on Tuesday, May 27, 2008.
3. Adiourn.
TOM PERRAULT MOVED TO ADJOURN AT 6:30 P.M. WAYNE MAYER
SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
