STREETS & PARKS COMMITTEE MEETING _,.

Present: Arve Grimsmo, Dale Lungwitz, Harvey Kendall.,
Milton Olson.
Absent: Robert Rierson
Also present were Howard Dahlgren, Mike Gair and Jean Burman
of Howard Dahlgren and Associates.
Preliminary Park Plans.
Preliminary site plans were presented by Mike Gair,
which included the following parks:
1. Bridge Park - East & West.
2. Ellison Park.
3. 4th St. Park.
Also included in the presentation was a dimensional
site plan and tree planting plan for the 4th St. park.
Preliminary cost estimates for some of the park im-
provements were presented.
Motion by A. Grimsmo, seconded by H. Kendall, to accept
preliminary park plans as presented with slight alter-
ation of roadway system in the west bridge park.
Concensus of commission was to proceed with pre-
paration of final park proposals with detailed cost
estimates of proposed improvements. Final plans will
be presented to the commission on March 24 at 5:.00 P. M.
A priority system for development of each park will
be discussed when total cost estimates are available
Jean Burman, park planner with H. Dahlgren & Assoc.
has been in contact with Wright County Park Adm., Tom
Johnson, in regard to future development of Montissippi
Park in Monticello.
Mr. Johnson has been working on a five year expenditure
program for county park improvements and would like
to meet with the Monticello Park Commission to discuss
future development of Montissippi Park. Mr. Koenig,
county engineer, will also be asked to attend the March
24 meeting to update the county's position on develop-
ment of the county park road.

Discussion was held on the possibility of building
a walkway between bridge parks and the river islands.
Jean Burman will be checking with the Dept. of
Natural Resources on possible state funding of such
a project.

catalog price lists. Estimates are not intended to be complete at this
time; nor do they account for installation costs. It is assumed that
the City will perform construction tasks and therefore these drawings
