03-18-75 Minutes• Roads and Streets Commission Meeting March 18, 1975 - 1:00 PM-City Hall Present: Milton Olson, Dale Lungwitz, Robert Rierson. In attendance: Don Nolting, Lowell Zachman, Stewart Hoglund, Morris Hoglund, Roy Lauring, Gene Walters and Gary Wieber. Discussion of County State Aid Road from County Road 39 to County Road 118 and review of proposed road. Don Nolting, county engineer, stated that road mileage would be 18,000 feet or 3.41 miles and currently within immediate area of Monticello there is only 9340 feet of County State Aid Road or 1.77 miles. Mr. Nolting stated that this couldn't be increased so it would be impossible to build 1800 feet of County State Aid Road, as this would mean reducing other state aid roads in area by 18,000 feet. A possible solution would be building state aid road from county road #39 to Highway 25 which would be a distance of 7440 feet and Monticello would therefore lose a like amount of County State Aid Road in the City. Meeting adjourned at 3:00 P.M.
