Committee recommends the following:
1. Obtaining from City Engineer cost estimates for
extending 7th Street from west of Maple Street
to connect with already constructed 7th Street
at Locust Street.
2. Suggests purchase of sander unit from Hall Equip.
Co., Savage, MN. for $1,5$3.00 which includes
mounting. (Model 5-300A Selecto Spreader).
3. Recommends City of Monticello obtain on bid basis,
a lease-option to purchase cost figure from the
local 3 truck dealers -- Gould Bros., Monticello
Ford, Hoglund Co. -- on new tandem - twin screw
axel truck. Specifications to be worked out with
Richard Brooks.
4. Spring of 1975, consider purchase of packer
(approximate cost $$,000.00). Later date pro-
viding annexation is reality, consider purchase
of loader and or blower type unit - approximate
present cost $20,000.00.
$. Realizing the extra work involved in caring for
new parking facilities in city and additional
work necessary after annexation, the committee
recommends the city hire one additional man. Man
to be hired and agreed upon by Richard Brooks.
6. Eliminate all no truck parking signs on present
Highway #152.
7. Recommends city consider carefully the request of
Monticello Mall for an additional entry (approx.
30r) to the Mall area. Committee not in favor
to allow this request.
