1. Call to Order
Wayne Elam called the meeting to order at 7:00 a.m.
2. Approval of Minutes — August 511, 2014 Meeting
PAT THOMPSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE AUGUST 5TH, 2014 MEETING
MINUTES. MARY BARGER SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 11 -0.
3. Consideration of adding items to the agenda None
4. Reports
a. Economic Development Report: Staff noted the status of several projects
recently approved by the Planning Commission.
b. City Council: Staff and Council representatives provided project and issue
updates and responded to committee questions.
C. Chamber of Commerce and Industry: Marcy Anderson reported on current
Chamber events, projects and issues.
d. TAC: The IEDC members discussed the design for the TH 25 /CSAH 75
intersection. The IEDC commented that WSB should review the turning radius
for trucks at the TH 25 /CSAH 75 intersection and consider the merits of adding a
dedicated right turn lane from northbound 25 to eastbound 75. Angela Schumann
noted that as a 2016 project, the City is looking at adding a dedicated right turn
lane from westbound 7th Street to northbound TH 25. Street. Jeff O'Neill
specifically noted the importance of starting the process for identifying a west
interchange location.
5. Industry of the Year Nomination Update
IEDC Minutes: 9/02/14
Bondhus Corporation, WSI and Xcel Energy have each been nominated as candidates for
Monticello's 2014 Industry of the Year. Each has been invited to respond to survey
questions and offer a facility tour to showcase their business for IEDC consideration. The
nominations committee will meet to discuss format and speaking arrangements for the
October 22nd breakfast event. The IEDC will select the Industry of the Year at their
October 7d' meeting.

DAHLHEIMER SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 11 -0.
