RESOLUTION NO. 2015 -014
RESTRICTING PARKING ON TRUNK HWY 25 AND CSAH 75 IN DESIGNATED
AREAS FOR THE TH 25 /CSAH 75 INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS,
CITY PROJECT NO. 100009
STATE PROJECT NO. 222-010-003/STATE AID PROJECT NO. 086-675-019
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello has planned improvements for the intersection of Trunk
Highway (TH) 25 (aka Pine Street) and County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 75 (aka Broadway
Street), from 3rd Street to River Street on TH 25 and from Walnut Street to Cedar Street on
CSAH 75; and
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello will be expending a combination of Federal (STP), State
(CIMS) funding and State Aid funding on the improvements on TH 25 and CSAH 75; and
WHEREAS, this improvement does not provide adequate width for parking on both sides of the
street on TH 25, and in the areas on CSAH 75 as indicated in Attachment "A "; and approval of
the proposed construction as a Municipal State Aid street project must therefore be conditioned
upon certain parking restrictions;
NOW THEREFORE, DE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Monticello shall hereby bans the
parking of motor vehicles on TH 25 from 3rd Street to River Street on both sides of the streets,
and on CSAH 75 as indicated in Attachment "A ", at all times.
ADOPTED BY the Monticello City Council this 9"` day of March, 2015.
