ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORTS AND CALLING FOR PUBLIC HEARING
2010 STREET RECONSTRUCTION
CITY PROJECT NO. 100001
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the Council adopted October 12, 2009, Feasibility
Reports have been prepared by the City Engineer with reference to proposed improvements to
Area 4A, including West River Street and its adjoining side streets between Chestnut Street and
TH 25, and Prairie Road between Nicholas Circle and CSAH 75, including the reconstruction of
streets, curb and gutter, and public utilities as needed, the installation of sidewalk, and other
appurtenant work; and,
WHEREAS, the reports were received by the City Council on February 8, 2010; and,
WHEREAS, the reports provide information regarding whether the proposed project is
necessary, cost-effective and feasible;
NO W THEREFORE, BE IT HEREB Y RESOL VED B Y THE CITY COUNCIL OF
MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the proposed improvements for said streets in accordance with
the Feasibility Reports and the assessment of abutting properties for all or a portion of the
cost of the improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated
total cost of the improvements of $4,188,600.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvements on the 22"d day of
February, 2010 in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 7 p.m. and the Clerk shall give
mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law.
