RESOLUTION NO. 2010-27
RESTRICTING PARKING TO ONE SIDE OF WEST RIVER STREET
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello has planned improvements to West River Street, State Aid
Route No. 222-112-010, between Elm Street and Pine Street/TH 25; and
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello has ordered the project for the 2010 Street Reconstruction
Improvements, City Project No. 1 00001; and
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello will be expending Municipal State Aid System funds on
improvements to West River Street including reconditioning at its current width of 36 feet; and
WHEREAS. the City of Monticello was denied a variance to Minnesota Rule 8820.9946
allowing on -street parking on both sides of West River Street from Elm Street to Locust Street;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Monticello,
Minnesota that the City of Monticello shall prohibit the parking of motor vehicles on the north
side of West River Street from Elm Street to Pine Street/State Highway 25.
