RESOLUTION NO. 2010-79
ORDERING FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR 2011 STREET RECONSTRUCTION
CITY PROJECT NO. 11CO01
WHEREAS, it is proposed to improve Area 4B as identified in the City's Overall Street
Reconstruction Program including East River Street from Cedar Street to a point approximately
1,000 feet east of Washington Street, as well as Cedar, Palm, New, Wright, Ramsey, Hennepin
and Washington Streets between East River Street and East Broadway by the reconstruction of
streets including the adjustment, construction, reclamation, removal, and/or repair of existing
pavement, curb and gutter, sanitary sewer, storm sewer and water supply systems, and other
necessary appurtenant work, and to assess the benefitting properties for all or a portion of the
cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNICL OF MONTICELLO,
MINNESOTA: That the proposed improvement be referred to the City Engineer for study, with
assistance from WSB and Associates, Inc., and that the City Engineer is instructed to report back
to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether
the proposed improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible; whether it should best be
made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement; and the estimated cost of the
improvement as recommended.
