RESOLUTION NO. 2011-10
APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE 2008 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
WITH THE ADDITION OF CHAPTER 6 — TRANSPORTATION PLAN
WHEREAS, the City adopted an update to its municipal Comprehensive Plan in 2008; and
WHEREAS, the City adopted a Transportation Plan at its regular Council Meeting on January
24, 2011; and
WHEREAS, the adoption of the Transportation Plan as an amendment to the Comprehensive
Plan provides an appropriate transportation chapter for the Comprehensive Plan, supports the
proposed land use plan, and furthers the City's land -use and development policies through the
provision of vital transportation facilities; and
WHEREAS, it is in the City's best interest to reevaluate its comprehensive plan and consider and
analyze amendments as necessary; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELLO,
MINNESOTA THAT, the 2008 Comprehensive Plan shall be amended as follows:
Addition of Chapter 6 — Transportation Plan (see attached booklet)
