RESOLUTION NO. 2011-35
RESTRICTING PARKING ON ONE SIDE OF EAST RIVER STREET,
PALM STREET AND WASHINGTON STREET; AND
RESTRICTING PARKING ON BOTH SIDES OF WEST 7TH STREET
CITY PROJECT NO. 11CO01
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello has planned improvements to East River Street, State Aid
Route No. 222-112-020, between Palm Street and Washington Street; and
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello has planned improvements to Palm Street, State Aid Route
No. 222-121-020, between East Broadway/CSAH 75 and East River Street; and
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello has planned improvements to Washington Street, State Aid
Route No. 222-113-010, between East Broadway/CSAH 75 and East River Street; and
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello has planned improvements to West 7th Street, State Aid
Route No. 222-101-040, between TH 25 and approximately 100 feet west of Locust Street; and
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello has ordered the project for the 2011 Street Reconstruction
Improvements, City Project No. 11 C001; and
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello will be expending Municipal State Aid System funds on
improvements to East River Street, Palm Street, and Washington Street, including reconditioning
at their current widths of 36 feet; and
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello will be expending Municipal State Aid System funds on
improvements to West 7th Street, including adding turn lanes and reconditioning the street.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Monticello shall prohibit the parking
of motor vehicles on the north side of East River Street from Palm Street to Washington Street;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Monticello shall prohibit the parking of motor
vehicles on the east side of Palm Street over the north half of the block between East
Broadway/CSAH 75 and East River Street; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Monticello shall prohibit the parking of motor
vehicles on the east side of Washington Street from East Broadway/CSAH 75 to East River
Street; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Monticello shall prohibit the parking of motor
vehicles on both sides of West 7th Street from TH 25 to approximately 100 feet west of Locust
Street.
