RESOLUTION NO. 2011-41
ORDERING FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR
WALNUT STREET BOULEVARD IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT NO. 11CO03
WHEREAS, it is proposed to improve the boulevard areas of Walnut Street between West 7th
Street and West Broadway by replacing deteriorated brick pavers with stamped, colored concrete
including the adjustment, construction, reclamation, removal, and/or repair of existing pavement,
curb and gutter, sidewalk, and other necessary appurtenant work, and to assess the benefitting
properties for all or a portion of the cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes,
Chapter 429.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF MONTICELLO,
MINNESOTA: That the proposed improvement be referred to the City Engineer for study, and
that the City Engineer is instructed to report back to the Council with all convenient speed
advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is necessary,
cost-effective, and feasible; whether it should best be made as proposed or in connection with
some other improvement; and the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended.
