RESOLUTION NO. 2011-63
ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND QUOTES AND AWARD
CONTRACT FOR WALNUT STREET BOULEVARD IMPROVEMENTS,
CITY PROJECT NO. 11CO03
WHEREAS, on May 23, 2011, the Monticello City Council authorized the preparation of a
Feasibility Report for proposed improvements to the boulevards along Walnut Street from 7th
Street West to West Broadway; and
WHEREAS, City staff has completed a Feasibility Report and solicited quotes for the proposed
repairs and improvements;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Monticello City Council hereby accepts the
Feasibility Report and quotes as submitted, and awards the contract to Straight Line Concrete for
the estimated amount of $80,000; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council of Monticello, Minnesota hereby declares:
1. Such improvements are necessary, cost-effective and feasible as detailed in the feasibility
report.
2. Such improvements are hereby ordered as proposed in the Council resolution adopted July
11, 2011.
3. The City Engineer is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement.
