RESOLUTION NO. 2012-027
REESTABLISHING THE SAME PRECINCT AND POLLING PLACE FOR
THE CITY OF MONTICELLO 2012 ELECTIONS
WHEREAS, the legislature of the State of Minnesota has been redistricted; and
WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 20413.14, subd3 (d) requires that precinct boundaries must be
reestablished within 60 days of legislative redistricting or at least 19 weeks before the state
primary election, whichever comes first; and
WHEREAS, the boundaries of the City of Monticello (Precinct Code 0125) which consists of the
territory of the City of Monticello, remains unchanged following state legislative redistricting; and
WHEREAS, the polling place for the City of Monticello was previously established as the
Monticello Community Center, 505 Walnut Street, Monticello, Minnesota.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Monticello
reestablishes the voting precinct as the municipal boundaries of the City of Monticello as
identified in the 2010 Census; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council reestablishes the polling place for the City of
Monticello as the Monticello Community Center at 505 Walnut Street.
