RESOLUTION NO. 2012-031
SUPPORTING A 2012 MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES
REGIONAL TRAIL GRANT APPLICATION FOR SEGMENT 4 AND THE
TRAILHEAD FACILITY UNDER THE MONTICELLO GREAT RIVER
TRAILWAYS & TRAILHEAD SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello desires to submit a grant application for the 2012 MN
Department of Natural Resources Regional Trails Program for the purpose of funding Segment 4
and the Trailhead Facility of the Monticello Great River Trailways & Trailhead system; and
WHEREAS, the City of Monticello recognizes the 25% match requirement for the Regional
Trails Program and has secured the matching funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that if awarded a grant by the Minnesota Department
of Natural Resources, the City of Monticello agrees to accept the grant and may enter into an
agreement with the State of Minnesota for the above - referenced project, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Monticello certifies that it will comply with all
applicable laws and environmental requirements and regulations as stated in the grant agreement;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Monticello hereby assures that Segment 4 and
the Trailhead Facility of the Monticello Great River Trailways and Trailhead System will be
maintained for a period of no less than 20 years; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Monticello names the fiscal agent for this
project as Thomas Kelly, Finance Director, City of Monticello, 505 Walnut Street, Suite 1,
Monticello MN 55362.
