CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR WASTE WATER TREATMENT FACILITY
BIOSOLIDS DEWATERING, ENERGY EFFICIENCY, HEADWORDS AND SITE
IMPROVEMENTS,
CITY PROJECT NO. 12CO03
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution #2012 -040 adopted by the Monticello City Council on April 23,
2012, a Feasibility Report has been prepared by the City Engineer with reference to proposed
improvements to the City of Monticello's Waste Water Treatment Facility including biosolids
dewatering, energy efficiency, headworks and miscellaneous site improvements, including other
appurtenant work as outlined in the report, and this report will be received by the City Council on
October 8, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary,
cost - effective and feasible;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBYRESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
MONTICELLO, MINNESOTA:
The Council will consider the biosolids improvements to the Waste Water Treatment Facility
in accordance with the report and the potential assessment of affected properties for all or a
portion of the cost of the improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, which
will be presented during the Public Hearing.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the Sth day of October, 2012
in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 7 p.m. and the Clerk shall give mailed and published
notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law.
