RESOLUTION NO. 2012 -087
ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT, ORDERING IMPROVEMENTS AND
AUTHORIZING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR
WASTE WATER TREATMENT FACILITY BIOSOLIDS DEWATERING,
ENERGY EFFICIENCY, HEADWORKS AND SITE IMPROVEMENTS

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution #2012 -079 adopted by the City Council on September 24,
2012, a Public Hearing has been called for October 8, 2012 at 7 p.m., where the Council will
consider the proposed improvements for said facility in accordance with the Feasibility Report
and the potential assessment of affected properties for all or a portion of the cost of the
improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429; and
WHEREAS, on September 25`x', 2012 the Clerk gave mailed and published notice of such
hearing and improvements as required by law; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CO UNCIL OF MONTICELLO,
MINNESOTA.
Such improvements are necessary, cost - effective and feasible as detailed in the
Feasibility Report. The total cost of the improvements is estimated at:
• Phase 1 = $2,428,000 (Biosolids Dewatering and Energy Efficiency hmprovements)
• Phase 2 = $3,672,000 (Headworks, Influent Wet -Well and Site Improvements)
2. The City Engineer is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement. The
engineer shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvements.
