RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -002
ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR
PURCHASING A SCREW PRESS FOR PHASE 1 OF
WASTE WATER TREATMENT FACILITY BIOSOLIDS DEWATERING,
ENERGY EFFICIENCY, HEADWORKS AND SITE IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT NO. 12CO03
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for purchasing a screw press for the Phase 1
improvements of the Waste Water Treatment Facility Biosolids Dewatering, Energy Efficiency,
Headworks and Site Improvements project, bids were received, opened, and tabulated, and the
following bids were found to comply with the advertisement for bids:

WHEREAS, the bid of Huber Technology, Inc., represented locally by Engineering America of
Oakdale, Minnesota, in the amount of $288,500.00 for both the base bid and the alternate bid,
which includes an additional six month warranty period, for purchasing said improvements in
accordance with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids, is the lowest
responsible bidder and shall be and hereby is accepted; and,
WHEREAS, the purchase of such equipment in advance of bidding the remainder of the Phase 1
improvements is required to allow the improvements to be completed by November 2013.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREB Y RESOL VED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITYOFMONTICELLO:
The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a
contract with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of
the City of Monticello.
2. The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all
bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidder
and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been executed.
